Badger Summer Reading Book BINGO Challenge
Posted on 06/05/2018
Research shows that the more children read, the better readers they become. It is also very common for children to regress over summer if they have not done much reading. Therefore, it is important for students to continue with their reading practice over the summer months.

Some of you may have already signed up to participate in the Appleton Public Library summer reading program. To help promote summer reading, Badger is offering our own Summer Reading Book BINGO Challenge!

How can students participate in the Badger Summer Reading Book BINGO Challenge? Check out the information below!

Students will receive three (3) Summer Reading BINGO Cards attached to the flyer. There is one for each month of the summer! Be sure to put your name and the grade you will be entering in the fall on the bottom of the card!

Read and Score a BINGO

Throughout the summer, read, read, read! When a reading activity is completed on a BINGO card, mark it with an X! Five in a row makes a BINGO. See how many you can get! Challenge yourself to get a BLACKOUT by completing every square on the card!

Save your BINGO Cards to turn in at the back to school Meet and Greet on August 30 (Thursday) from 4:30-5:30. Each student who turns in his/her BINGO will receive a new book to keep!

The BINGO cards will be used for a special grand prize drawing at our first Monday Morning Meeting of the school year. For each BINGO card turned in, student will get one (1) entry. For each BLACKOUT (competing every square on the card), students will get five (5) entries!
