Why Badger Elementary School?

Badger Elementary School has a longstanding tradition of being innovative and creative as we reach the needs of our students.

Our Mission

Together, dedicated to academic excellence, we embrace citizenship and respect diversity by providing a safe, caring and positive learning environment for each child.

Small School

Badger Elementary School serves approximately 350 children in grades K-6. Students receive more positive interaction from teachers and there are better relationships between staff members, students and their families. Parents have more opportunities to get to know the staff members as well as the parents of many students.

Diverse Learning Community

Badger Elementary School is rich in cultural diversity. There are a variety of different ethnicities and cultures represented by the staff, students and families. This experience better prepares students to live in a diverse country and world.

Small Class Sizes (K-3)

Badger Elementary School is a participating school in the Achievement Gap Reduction (AGR) Program. Each classroom in kindergarten through third grade has a maximum ratio of 18 students per classroom teacher.

Title I Schooltitle I

Badger Elementary School uses its funding from Title I, a federally funded program included in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), to employ an additional reading specialist to provide supplemental reading services to students and literacy coaching to teachers.

Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition
(formerly New Wisconsin Promise School of Recognition)

Since 2003, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has recognized Title I schools that have demonstrated success in educating students. To be eligible, schools must receive federal Title I funding to provide services to large numbers or high percentages of economically disadvantaged children and meet other achievement criteria.

These awards recognize the work of students and their parents along with teachers, school administrators, and school staff members to break the link between poverty and low academic achievement. Their efforts help us ensure that every student graduates college and career ready.
